Restaurants and Bars
The Restaurant at The Oberoi Hotel Mauritius features a roof of palm thatched timbers and panoramic views across the Indian Ocean. It is open for Open for breakfast and dinner and serves a selection of Continental, International and Creole cuisine. The Restaurant reflects the multicultural flavour of the island and uses fresh local fruits, vegetables and spices. With beautiful exotic flowers, candles flickering and the spectacular sunsets, you could be forgiven for thinking you had gone to heaven.
On The Rocks Restaturant offers breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean, while you dine on light salads, pasta, pizzas, sandwiches and BBQ meals. It is open for lunch and dinner. The Bar serves a range of wine and spirits and is open 1100 Hrs. – 2300 Hrs. The wine cellar offers a 5 course Mauritian style menu (prebooking required)
At The Bar and The Restaurant, the dress code in the day is casual and for the evening it is smart casual. Gentlemen are requested to wear long trousers and shirts with sleeves. Shorts, flipflops and swimwear may not be worn in The Restaurant and the Main Bar after 6.00 p.m.
Activities
There is a wide range of water sports activities and an outdoor pool to keep you active. You can take part in Sculpture class, star gazing, Hindu ceremony, henna painting, painting classes, cooking demonstration, wine tasting and nature walks. There is also hatha yoga, Tai Chi, sound meditation, morning jogging, morning walks, body toning work out.
The Oberoi, Mauritius is associated with a certified PADI dive centre nearby, at which guests can do basic, advanced, adventure and rescue dive courses. We also offer a range of sea dives, night dives, private dives, underwater photography and dive safari trips. Mauritius is a great scuba diving destination, the water temperature is pleasant all year round and generally surrounded by a calm sea.
At the Watersports centre you can try windsurfing, water-skiing, snorkeling, kayaking and sailing. Try para-sailing to get a fabulous birds-eye view of the resort.
For the golf enthusiasts there is an 18 hole golf course available one hour’s drive from the hotel.






Kids Club
The Oberoi Hotel Mauritius is a family friendly hotel and offers a Kids’ Club open through out the year for children from 4-13 years old, includes complimentary activities. The Hub features a soft play area, fenced play area outside and a daily programme of activities. Facilities include indoor table top football, table-tennis, Wii, Playstation and board games. There is also a mini bowling alley, slides, a swing and a tree house.
Daily activities range from feeding the hotel’s koi fish to taking a glass bottom boat ride, snorkeling and banana boat riding. We also arrange a supervised visit to the aquarium at Point aux Piments, star gazing, henna tattoos and cooking lessons. Each evening there’s a film and some games and even a Wii competition. Children under 4 years are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Babysitting facilities are also available at an additional charge.
