We can help you through the whole process. Start by thinking about your answers to the questions below, click on the highlighted links for more information.

What time of year do you want to take your holiday? Mauritius has 2 monsoon seasons, so you will want to be there at the right time for you.
Do you want a small quiet romantic hotel where you can spend your time just relaxing?
Do you want an active holiday, with plenty of water-sports to choose from?
Do you want to go snorkeling direct from the beach?
Do you want to go diving or to learn to dive? How close are the dive sites to the hotel?
Do you want to surf or learn how to surf?
Do you want a hotel that offers a range of trips out (fishing, trip to local markets or the botanical gardens or Charmarel)?
Will you be using à la Carte restaurants? How many restaurants does the hotel have? Do you have to pay for these, even on All Inclusive?
How long is the journey to the hotel from the airport?
Do you want to wait and go on the shuttle, or pay a bit more for your own private transfer?
Are there any amenities the hotel has to have, to be perfect for you?
Will you be taking children, if so do you want a Kids Club, or at least some children’s facilities?
Will you want a babysitting service?
Are you wanting Adult Only hotel?

Once you know the type of hotel you are looking for you can then start to look for it. This is the part of planning a Mauritius holiday where you have to begin to think about your budget and the type of accommodation you want. Standard room, Deluxe, Suite.

Do you want to stay on the beach or inland?
What board do you want,  All Inclusive, Full Board, Half Board, Bed & Breakfast? (Not all hotels offer All Inclusive)?
How important is luxury? Does the hotel have to have a Spa?

The above are the three main considerations when planning a Mauritius holiday as they will affect the cost the most. The more luxury the hotel offers, the more it givers as standard, then the higher the cost will be.  If this is a one off holiday of a lifetime for you, where luxury is the most important factor, look for an amazing 5* resort. Take  in to account the questions asked above. If you will be planning to spend a large amount of your time in the Indian Ocean, either diving or snorkeling and luxury and choice of restaurants is not as important, you can find some really good 3* hotels, that are close to dive sites.

With so many hotels to choose from, it can be difficult. Think carefully about the list of questions, decide what it is you want from your holiday and then contact us, as Mauritius Experts we can help by taking the headache out of planning a Mauritius holiday.
