La Vallee des Couleurs
La Vallee des Couleurs is known for its landscape with 23 colours. This scenic park offers hikes, wildlife and a host of activities. The reserve is home to a range of flora and fauna and a great place to enjoy some nature trips. There’s a range of natural landscapes, including plateaus, mountains, valleys, craters and lakes. The park is open every day from 10:00 to 17:00 and experiences need to be booked, so is a good ide to do this is advance to avoid disappointment.
At a visit to the visit La Vallee des Couleurs you can see the Green valleys, Plateaus, Hills, Lakes, Waterfalls, Rivers, Volcanic ashes, the 23 Coloured Earth, Geology Museum and have access to the other facilities, such as the Kids Garden, Cafeteria and restaurant.
The 23 Coloured Earth dates back to millions of years after the volcanic eruption of the Bassin Blanc. It is a phenomenon arising from volcanic activity and mineral deposits and is totally unique to this one beautiful in Mauritius.
See plenty of waterfalls during your visit. Cascade Vacoas, Cascade Bois de Natte, Cascade Cheveux d’Ange and Cascade Chamouzé are the 4 wonderful waterfalls where you can listen to the water and relax.. The park also offers a spectacular panoramic view of the South Coast.
