Air Mauritius Airlines  (IATA: MK / ICAO: MAU) was founded on 14 June 1967, by Air France and is the national airline for Mauritius. Their headquarters are based in Port Louis, the island’s capital. The airline currently has a fleet of 15 aircraft. Its main hub is Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (SSR). Air Mauritius airlines is the 4th largest carrier in Sub-Saharan Africa.  It was listed on the stock exchange of Mauritius in 1995.  It is owned wholly owned by the government of Mauritius.

Air Mauritius Airlines still works closely with Air France, with the 2 airlines code-sharing. It serves 23 destinations in a network covering Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia. They have been voted the leading airline in the Indian Ocean at the World Travel Awards for the last seven years. The airline also flies direct to Mauritius from Heathrow.
